Missing minor girl rescued from North East Delhi
Following a PCR call received about the incident at the Welcome police station, a hunt for the missing girl was launched which ended in her rescue.
A quiz competition based on road safety and traffic rules was also organized and the winners were felicitated by the police.
With an aim to create sustainable and livable cities with a focus on sustainable mobility, the Delhi Police on Sunday organised ‘Raahgiri Day’ in the heart of the city at Connaught Place’s Inner Circle where people from different walks of life and age-groups took part.
The event that took place during the morning hours was part of the Delhi Police’s road safety week, and was organised in association with the Raahgiri Foundation and the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC).
One of the important reasons behind the event was also to form a connection with the youth and spread awareness with regard to road safety amongst the young generation.

During the event held at the inner circle, Delhi Police showcased demonstration on self-defence techniques, orchestra performance by its team of IV battalion DAP, a demonstration by Dog squad of Crime Branch, while a pledge wall and a selfie- stand was installed to promote safe two- wheeler riding.
Raahgiri Foundation organized interesting activities aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle such as cycling, skating, zumba and yoga.
Cyclists, runners and other fitness enthusiasts also reached CP who appreciated the initiative as it reminded them of times when the Raahgiri used to take place on Sundays at Connaught Place and was very popular amongst people.
People belonging to a cross-section of society visited the place in huge numbers and took part in various activities with great zeal and enthusiasm.
